Originating from Sanganer, this block printing technique is heavily inspired by nature and is traditionally made on white or off-white fabric. Every block printed design begins with hand carved wooden blocks, where each block is made for a single colour or motif. The outline is printed first and every layer is carefully aligned and stamped by hand, one impression and colour at a time, creating beautifully detailed patterns and motifs where no two textiles are ever exactly alike.
